Jan 5, 2022. As the sun sinks below the horizon on the Gulf of Mexico, the Yellow Fin dredge nibbles away at sediment clogging the mouth. No map this week. There was minimal progress made from Fri 12/31/21 thru Wed 01/05/2022. The second pass effort fell within the limits of last week’s dredging limits.

Based on daily reports, the following metrics have been calulated:
LF (Linear Feet) = 7,740 (79.8% of 9,700)
CY (Cubic Yards) = 309,793 (85.5% of 362,163) - Total volume will be adjusted when quantity calculations are completed.
Since the return from the break, either winds or waves/currents have hindered progress. Rigid was able to accomplish dredging only on Mon, Tue, and Wed of this time period.
Calculations are ongoing regarding quantifying the expected additional material that infiltrated into the mouth of the river. There are required discussions to understand and agree to the quantities.
