Update: Mouth of the River

 Jan 12, 2017. The closed mouth of the San Bernard River stops short of entering the Gulf of Mexico.
Since there there was not a plan in place by the original 2009 organizers to keep the river open with ongoing maintence dredging, it silted shut three years later in 2012. Everyone is waiting with great anticipation for the news it will be dredged open in the near future!
