19th Annual State of River Meeting Planned

All friends of the river are invited to attend the 19th annual Friends of the River (FOR) San Bernard "State of the River" meeting. Reports of last year’s accomplishments and goals for the upcoming year will be presented.
Coastal marine geologist Dr. Tim, Dellapenna, Associate Professor at Texas A&M University of Oceanography will present a brief summary of a Texas General Land Office (TGLO) study done on sediment deposits in the lower Brazos and San Bernard River area. This study was recently completed after several years of research
The annual Ralph Primeau Memorial Award will be presented to the person or persons whom FOR feels has significantly contributed toward the spirit and purpose of the FOR mission.
The meeting is free and open to all interested friends of the river. Attendees will enjoy a complimentary serving of chicken and dumplings provided by FOR during the meeting. Cash Bar.
FOR's mssion is to protect, restore, ensure and promote a clean, healthy, flowing San Bernard River for the sanity and enjoyment of present and future generations.
