The existing mouth dredging permit plans to increase the channel to 700 ft wider. Approximately 300,000 cubic yards of material is planned to be dredged in order to increase the depth of the channel to 10 feet. NOAA Fisheries (National Marine Fisheries) has had permit for months and will ok this fall. It then goes back to COE for dredging where County will tag onto an existing dredge in 2025.
