The Dredge Report - Final Map 4/9/22

Final dredging map received on July 28, 2022.
This is the final April 9, 2022 dredging map from HDR engineering showing Rigid Contractor’s last dredging effort to open the mouth of the San Bernard River to the Gulf of Mexico. The project was started on July 19, 2021 and ended April 14, 2022. Buildup of sediment related to lack of flow from San Bernard watershed during the drought was the county’s reason.
Also included is a pdf file of a summary of the complete start-to-finish dredging operations.

Based on daily reports, here are the FINAL statistics:
FINAL LF = 9,700 (100% of 9,700)
FINAL CY = 383,650 (100% of 383,650)
FINAL DAYS = 269 (July 19, 2021 to April 14, 2022)
- The Contractor completed the full limits of dredging on Saturday, April 9, 2022 (STA 0+00 to STA 97+00). The Contractor went into stand-by mode pending field verification, quantity calculations, and discussions between the County and the State.
- The County released the Contractor from stand-by on May 19, 2022.
- The Contractor was fully demobilized from the site on May 24, 2022.
- The final project walkthrough occurred on June 20, 2022. Stakeholders at the walkthrough included Rigid Constructors, HDR Engineering, County of Brazoria, US Fish & Wildlife Service, and Berg-Oliver Associates.
