Hundreds of shrimp boats are packed together like sardines at the Palacios Marina waiting for Hanna to make landfall somewhere along the Texas coast.
San Bernard River residents suffered a a state of anxiety when they first heard that, at the time, tropical depression Hanna might make landfall close to their homes on the river. As time progressed, Hanna strengthened becoming a Category 1 hurricane and headed south to visit Corpus Christi arriving on Saturday. The massive flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey’s 2017 rainfall has made the river community jittery of hurricanes whose names start with an “H”.
FOR San Bernard sends positive thoughts to Corpus and hopes damage is minimal as possible.
