Breakfast on the Bernard
Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, 8:30am to 10am at Dido's Restaurant
Regular first-Saturday-of-the-month Breakfast on the Bernard. Open to all friends of the river. Come find out what's happening on the river and enjoy a great breakfast - cost is $10 adults, $5 children - under ten yrs of age free. The coffee's hot and so's the conversation!
Highway Cleanup
Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, 9:45am to 11am at FM 2611 Churchill Bridge area
Immediately following Breakfast on the Bernard
TxDOT Adopt-a-Highway FOR volunteers pick-up trash along one mile of FM 2611 before and after the Churchill bridge. Meet at the bridge parking lot. Volunteers bring their own hats, gloves, sunscreen and mosquitoes repellent. Strong shoes or boots are a good idea. TXDOT and FOR supply the rest.

River Water Quality Testing
Tuesday, March 5th, 2024, 8am to 5pm at Five river locations
Water and sediment samples to be taken at five different areas of the San Bernard by an environmental service company for laboratory analysis of water conditions on the river.

Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, March 30th, 2024, 10:45am to 12pm at FOR Community Center, 20450 CR 510-B
The Easter bunny makes an appearance arriving by boat and signals the start of the egg hunt. Bring your own basket or bag. Free.
- 10:45 am - Easter Prize Drawing while Easter Bunny arrives by boat
- 11:00 am - Egg Hunt begins. Don’t be late!
Egg Hunt Age Groups:
- 2 and under - parent can accompany child
- 3-5 years old - parent can accompany child if needed
- 6-12 years old - kids only, no adults please
