The last report on water quality of the San Bernard River-tidal portion (Segment ID 1301) was dated 2002. The monitoring site was at Churchill Bridge at FM 2611. It reported:

Fact and data sheets for segments assessed for 2004 contain both new information and information from the 2002 assessment. Segments that were not reassessed have fact sheets identical to those published in 2002.
2002 Water Quality Summary from HGAC on San Bernard River:
"San Bernard River Tidal (1301): Several small communities
are in the watershed, 90% of which is undeveloped or open land. There are 12
domestic outfalls and six industrial outfalls. Agricultural practices make up
most of the land use. There are no known water quality concerns." (HGAC:
