January

  • Jul 11 - Brazoria County Commissioners’ Court recognized FOR's $10,000 Hanson Riverside County Park donation.

  • Aug 9 - “It Doesn’t Always Pay to be a Good Samaritan” story of incident on the river
  • Aug 21 - The Eclipse - As Seen On the River
  • Aug 24 - First wave of Hurricane Harvey wind and rain arrives on the San Bernard
September
  • Sep 2 - “Breakfast on the Bernard” cancelled due to Hurricane Harvey
  • Sep 3 - Mouth of river breaks opens from pressure of hurricane flood waters, river level drops within hours and recovery slowly begins  
  • Sep 7 - A Kevin Henry inspired “Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort” helped the devastated community with food and donated items at the old McCoy building. A total of 10,000 meals served, $7,500 cash raised, and 50 volunteers showed up every day to help. Congratulations for a job well done and FOR is proud to have Kevin as a Director.
