FOR 31st annual Christmas Boat Parade
Sat Dec 9th - 5:30 pm start
No Entry Fee!
 
This year's 31st Christmas Boat Parade theme is
"Harvey the Grinch Couldn't Steal Christmas". As devastatingly as Hurricane Harvey treated river residents, FOR will continue the long tradition of the Christmas boat parade that spreads holiday cheer up and down the river!
     Just the boat parade this year, no home decorating competition.

FIRST PLACE "Best of Show" $500 CASH PRIZE Plus awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category.
 
 
 
 
DECORATED BOAT CATEGORIES
(1) Boats 24’ & under
(2) Boats 25’ & over
No Entry Fee!!!
Judging on lighting, decorations, sound, theme, and originality
Starts 5:30 pm at FM 521 bridge, ends FM 2611 Churchill Bridge 
 
PARADE ENTRANTS 
Attend mandatory Captain’s Meeting for parade information and rules, Thu Dec 7, 7:00 pm, Dido’s Restaurant. Pick up your judging boat entry display number at this meeting
 
JUDGING
Your boat must be lighted and decorated on both sides' (Port & Starboard) and you must have an entry number clearly displayed and visible on the forward area of your boat. We must be able to read it!
BE DIFFERENT - Use light patterns other than just lining your rails. Use Animation
BE COLORFUL - Deck displays and light with a variety of color for attention!.
BE BRIGHT - The more lights, the better the impression. Remember this year's theme "Harvey the Grinch Couldn't Steal Christmas"
BE VISIBLE - Can your decorations be seen clearly. Make things BIG. Is your ID number on the bow where it can be seen.

Complimentary Cocktail Happy Hour and Buffet for Boat Parade entries and their crew only, Sun Dec 10, 4:00 pm, FOR Community Center
