Posted on Oct 10th, 2017

On Sat Oct. 7, the M/V Mark E. Flynn was seen pushing the first barge upriver to the Phillips 66 terminal after Hurricane Harvey flood waters had receded. Repairs to the Phillips 66 terminal control room, that was badly damaged by flood waters, were completed on Friday Oct 6th.

The empty barge sits at the Phillips 66 terminal waiting to be loaded with petroleum product. M/V Mark E. Flynn was seen a couple of day later traveling “light” back down the river probably to pick up another empty barge. It’s looks like it's business as usual.

Note: It was reported on Oct, 8, that the average depth of the river between FM 522 to FM 521 was 18' deep.
