We will
restore, protect, promote and ensure a clean,
healthy, flowing San Bernard River for the sanity and
enjoyment of present and future generations.

Let
There Be Light!!
Anyone who
has tried
using the CR
2611 boat
ramp at
night can
tell you it
is a rough
task -not
being able
to see the
ramp as you
back in,
trying to
load or
unload your
boat and, in
general,
feel safe
while doing
so. Even
though the
CR 521 ramp
had a light
fixture
- due to
vandalism-
it, too, was
as dark as
the Ace of
Spades.
Well, all
that has
changed now
!!!

"I see the light" !
F.M.2004/Sportsman Span -Churchill Boat Ramp
F.O.R. San Bernard President, Pat Webb, contacted County Commisioner (Pct. 1) Dude Payne, and with his advisement, teamed up with Mark Hansen, Director of the Brazoria County Parks Department, to put new fixtures at both ramps, lighting not only the ramps themselves, but also the adjoining parking lots.

WOW, what a difference !
521 Boat Ramp
All the lights are now installed and burning brightly, lighting the way for all. F.O.R. contacted Mark in the fall of last year with the problem we faced, offered a monetary contribution to help get things moving - and he took it from there. He contacted the proper folks in the electric company business, asked for their help and made the needed arrangements of equipment available to "get r done".
And "get r done" he did. It is a wonderful show of what a co-operative effort between concerned citizens and county officials can accomplish.
Many thanks to all involved in this much needed addition for the pleasure and safety of all.
