Thank You Notes
By Teresa Schlumpberger
Speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors for
Friends Of the River (F.O.R.) San Bernard, we
are proud to announce that because of the efforts of all
our friends, the San Bernard River is cleaner by
(best guess estimate) 32,200 pounds of trash and heavy
debris. We all came back from the clean-up safe and now
live and play on a safer, cleaner river. That could not
have been accomplished without the help each of you
willingly gave the river - and there were 214 of you
with 57 different boats of all sizes and shapes. Last
year, 164 volunteers with 53 boats cleaned up 26,000
pounds of trash from the San Bernard River and
its banks.

But we would be remiss without sending out a special
thanks to David Pope for coordinating the event and the
following companies, law enforcement, state and county
agencies and friends who went out of their way to make
the clean-up an unqualified success!
Thank you (in no special order) friends:

for all your efforts!
