"Breakfast on the Bernard"

April 7th 8 a.m.-10 a.m.

F.O.R. San Bernard Members/Volunteers

Valroy and Adalia Maudlin

Dido's Restaurant and  Friends Of the River are teaming up again, for yet another wonderful Breakfast on the San Bernard.

This month we have the pleasure to feature Friends Of the River members;

Valroy and Adalia Maudlin

Valroy and Adalia have lived in the area for forty four years and have owned a place on the San Bernard River for twenty one years. Their children grew up water skiing and boating on the river.

Valroy is a retired Dow Chemical engineer and Adalia is a retired BISD teacher. They both love the river- Adalia loves to paint it and Valroy loves to sail it -in the "Escape", a small sailboat. Valroy hopes one day to be the oldest water skier on the river! Another of Valroy's hobbies is homebrewing-and his "brewery" is at the river, usually on the deck facing the river.

Early morning sitting on the deck with that first cup of coffee watching the river wake up shares equal time with when the sun slides down at the bend of the river. Both are tops to the Maudlins. They have had wonderful times on the river and hope for many more.

The Maudlins are volunteers in many areas of F.O.R. and were part of the March Breakfast Crew.

Cost is $6 each, kids 10 and under eat free.

It’s not essential but if you know you’re coming to the breakfast, please RSVP at breakfast@sanbernardriver.com. This helps us so much in planning...

There will be a sign-up sheet on Saturday for next months Breakfast Crew...or contact Gloria  Powell, to volunteer.

Check out the new "Breakfast Tab" for the latest Breakfast photos!

SEE YOU THERE !!!

One of F.O.R.'s primary functions is to educate the public regarding the issues concerning the San Bernard River and it's Communities. Contact Pat Webb pat@sanbernardriver.com to schedule a guest speaker for your group or special event.
