20th Annual Boat Parade and Home Decorating Contest

A Successful Event for Friends Of the River

On December 9 this year, Friends Of the River San Bernard (FOR San Bernard), proudly presented the: 

 20th Annual San Bernard River Christmas Boat Parade and Home Decorating Contest.

      It was the largest contest in recorded history of the event with 26 boats and 15 homes entered. Thanks go out to all the entrants, volunteers and sponsors without whose help and support, the parade could not have happened.

       

      Below are the results of the Home Decorating contest:

      For the Houses 100 feet and Under category:

      1st Place -  Nelson and Vanessa Taylor  

       2nd Place -  Danny Machacek  

       3rd Place - Pat and Connie Webb 

      For the Houses 100 feet and Over category:

      1st Place -  Ed and Karen Kadera

      2nd Place -  Eileen and Buddy Kenneda

      3rd Place -  Karen Creacy

      Below are the results of the Boat Decorating contest:

      For the Boats 17 feet and Under category:

      1st Place -  Valroy and Adelia Maudlin

      2nd Place -  Mark Paladino

      3rd Place - David Pope

      For the Boats 17 feet 1 inch to 24 feet category:

      1st Place -  Darrell and Gloria Powell

      2nd Place - Karen Creacy

      3rd Place - James Gillenwater

       For the Boats 24 feet 1 inch and Over category:

      1st Place - Pete and Sue Smirch (Dido's)

      2nd Place -  Pat and Connie Webb

      3rd Place - Charles and Rosemary Doolin
